Cover version (lyrics) compiled by Amy Burvall (see links below!)
Song by Amy Burvall.
Spanish poem by Pablo Neruda.
Original lyrics by Stevie Nicks.
Originally performed by Fleeetwood Mac.
Mrs. Burvall is a very dedicated History and TOK
(Theory Of Knowledge) teacher from Hawaii.
She has done both covers and remakes of many popular old songs.
The remakes (with completely rewritten lyrics) are all about interesting and educational historical events, originally made to
"make school more fun" for her students.
She loves to dress up and perform in vintage clothing and big wigs, so many of the songs have also been filmed by her colleague and creative partner Mr. Herbert Mahelona.
He is also a teacher, with an interest in film and music,
and member of the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra.
When they work together they post their songs here:
And here's their Facebook fan site:
Here are some new songs they haven't filmed yet (audio only),
and also some songs Mrs. Burvall has done on her own:
However, this song (Silver Springs) was only posted on Tumblr,
and since it is difficult to find it there, and it is such a beautiful song, I decided to "take matters in my own hands" and post it
here on my own YouTube channel.

This is Mrs. B's own comments, from Tumblr:
"I decided to try to cover Silver Springs and inset a piece of Pablo Neruda's poem 'Si Tú Me Olvidas' in it. (my Spanish is not so great but I tried).
si poco a poco dejas de quererme
dejaré de quererte poco a poco.
Si de pronto
no me busques,
que ya te habré olvidado...
si cada día,
sientes que a mí estás destinada
con dulzura implacable,
si cada día sube
una flor a tus labios a buscarme,
ay amor mío, ay mía..."
