Odùdùwa was the first king and founder of the ancient city of Ife, in Nigeria, where he made life start according to Yoruba theology.
In short way he is also called Oddua (Lord of this world and our destiny).
He was sent to earth by Oludumare, the supreme God.
Odùdùwa is a divinity that has changed its characteristics with the deportation of slaves from Africa to America.
After the deplorable deportation, Africans were obliged first of all to work in total exploitation conditions, but also to renounce their culture and even their religion. Who would not be in this mess subdued against humanity, was immediately punished by death.
Then the Africans thought it was better to continue to worship their gods and their saints, but calling them by the name of the Catholic religion that was imposed on them. And syncretism was born. Odùdùwa was the son of the suprem God like Jesus.

All religions with great mixture between African and Catholic faiths.
Odùdùwa is considered the king of the ancestors left behind and lost in Africa.
He lives in the deepest dark of night, in a bowl-shaped silver casket,
which is protected with a padlock. He must be protected from light, because he lives in the dark.He dasn't have a sexual distinction.
He is got the possesses of an immense mass of spiritual strength.
The followers of the Afro-Cuban tradition Odùdùwa must adhere to strict moral rules, avoid alcohol, salt and driver's license.
They often have to wear white and try to stay out of direct sunlight or cold night.
Odùdùwa does not forgive the slip on faults or weaknesses because He warns you about what needs to be done, because His word is an affirmation of character and a strong personality.
Odùdùwa has got a deep knowledge of suffering and happiness, has the opportunity to strengthen the personality of the devotees, giving them protection against the diaspora of forced migration and the loss of identity. In his earthly life he is driving to reach the source of success and satisfaction.
